Co-Workers With Christ

Here's a fine work authored by a priest in The Orthodox Church in America called "Co-Workers With Christ."  You can grab a copy of it by going HERE.  This is how one priest and a small group of committed Christians began an Orthodox Mission which has grown into St. Justin Martyr in Jacksonville, FL.

Over a 10 year period this parish moved into at least four different buildings, from a college classroom to renovating, then outgrowing a 3,800 sq/ft facility.  They have grown from 17 people to 250 attending on a regular basis.

Now they have a 2,000 sq/ft nave and a 4,000 sq/ft fellowship hall.

After 10 years, this parish intentionally "daughtered" a 2nd church in the same town, and recently began a new mission in a neighboring town.

Each year their parish sends parishioners on missions trips close to home and around the world.

It's important for us too to consider that one Orthodox Church in Stillwater is NOT the final goal. There are 40,000 people in Stillwater and many more in the surrounding towns.

God desires that all of these good people come to the knowledge of the truth as found only in the Orthodox Church.     (Fr Mark)
